May Must Haves Health and Beauty

Here are some of my absolute favourite health and beauty products that I’ve been loving this month.

Blend Active

1. Blend Active

If you’ve read my recent blog post you will know I’m pretty taken with my latest gadget. The Blend Active is perfect for smoothies, milkshakes or protein shakes.  It’s affordable, easy to use and provides a delicious and nutritious on-the-go breakfast or snack.

Coconut Oil

2. Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is truly amazing with all its diverse uses. I use it as a face and body moisturiser, a make up remover, a hair mask and, more obviously, for cooking. It’s great for baking, as well as a replacement for other oils when using a pan or wok. It adds a delicious flavour and creamy texture to food. It’s also one of the healthiest ingredients around as it’s full of numerous health benefits.

3. Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream

Those that know me will know I don’t go anywhere without my eight hour cream. It can be used all over – from cuticles to dry elbows. It’s a great relief for dry or irritated skin. I use mine on my lips and find it much more effective than vaseline, carmex or other lip balms. One tube lasts for ages so is worth every penny!

Coconut Oil

4. Magnesium Powder

When I’m having trouble sleeping I’ll have a teaspoon of magnesium powder in a glass of water before bed. Magnesium has naturally calming properties as it relaxes your muscles and facilitates the function of GABA receptors – calming neurotransmitters that the brain requires to switch off. The relaxation of muscle cramps and de-stressing qualities make magnesium great for IBS sufferers.

Pip & Nut Squeeze Pack

5. Pip & Nut Squeeze Packs

As a nut butter addict, I was seriously excited to discover these little gems. These perfectly-sized squeeze packs make it possible for you to carry around just enough nut butter with you wherever you’re going to satisfy any sudden cravings. I take a sachet into work and enjoy it with a banana, gluten-free bread or on top of porridge. Although, they taste just as good eaten straight from the pack.
