Bounce Energy Balls Review

Bounce energy balls are high in protein, full of nutrients and totally delicious. They provide a convenient on-the-go or pre-workout boost. They’re free of gluten and dairy and some of the flavours are even FODMAP-friendly. However, my first experience of Bounce was not a very positive one.

Having seen a sudden influx of the snack bouncing its way around my social media feeds, I had to see what the fuss was about. As most of you probably know by now, I am a peanut butter-holic so, naturally, I went for the peanut flavour. Unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed having found the flavour slightly bland and the texture a bit too chewy.

After hearing nothing but praise for Bounce from my friends (some of whom choose the peanut flavour as their favourite), I decided to give it another go when I came across their stall at the Good Food Eat Well Show.

The fun, vibrant branding and friendly staff were a good start to changing my initial impression. The copious amounts of free samples and a competition to win a health retreat in Portugal didn’t do any harm either.

Having tried and tested almost all of the flavours, my opinion of Bounce balls changed and it wasn’t long before I ordered a whole box full. It’s certainly a matter of personal preference but coconut and macadamia is my favourite with its sweet and creamy flavour. Don’t be put off by the green colour – the spirulina and ginseng flavour is also seriously good. It isn’t as high in protein as the other varieties but is packed full of vitamins and is a good source of antioxidants.

In case you were wondering, I didn’t win the health retreat to Portugal but am definitely not complaining after receiving these two big boxes of Bounce balls as a consolation prize.

With consolation prizes like this, I think my new found love for Bounce is here to stay. I’ll be trying the cacao and mint flavour next!
