A few weeks ago, my fellow food blogging friend (The Thinking Kitchen) and I went to The Good Life Eatery in Sloane Square and ended up treating ourselves to a three course meal – it was that good.
From milkshakes to smoothies, salads to sandwiches and brownies to biscuits; the Good Life Eatery has it all and the best bit about it – it’s all healthy! The restaurant itself is small with limited seating so I would reccomend going mid-week if you want to avoid a wait. However, the staff are friendly and the prices are reasonable, particularly for the area.
After staring in awe at the menu for a bit too long, we decided to start with the green vegetable soup. Whilst the soup itself was a bit bland (but nothing a sprinkling of salt and pepper couldn’t fix) the bread that came with it was one of the best gluten-free breads I’ve tasted.
For main course we shared ‘The Goodness Bowl’ which was made up of sweet potato falafal, raw pad thai with satay dressing, sweet potato humous, avocado and superfood salad. It was so delicious!
Despite being completely full, the selection of cakes looked too good to resist. After reassuring ourselves that they too were healthy, we enjoyed a gluten-free and dairy-free brownie.
All in all, a great health food restaurant that I can’t wait to go back to. (I’ve heard good things about their brunch!)
